Teacher Education Advising and Licensure

Liz currently serves as the Director of the Teacher Education Advising and Licensure (TEAL) office. Liz had been a member of the TEAL office since 2016 where she was an Academic Advisor for pre-education undergraduate students and students seeking admission to the Graduate Certificate, Charlotte’s residency program. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of academic advising, licensure, general education, and both undergraduate and Graduate Certificate programs. Liz also serves as the Licensure Office for the university and as a member of the Advisor Institute Mentoring Committee.

Prior to coming to Charlotte, Liz taught first grade for ten years in both Stanly County and Charlotte Mecklenburg School systems. After teaching, she worked as a coordinator and advisor at Stanly Community College.
