Liz joined the TEAL office in August 2016 as a pre-education advisor. She now also works as a College Advising Systems Specialist to develop and maintain a detailed working knowledge of UNC Charlotte’s core advising systems and to train, assist, and support other professional and faculty advisors in the use of these advising systems.

Liz advises pre-education students on general course offerings and the steps required for admission into Teacher Education programs. She can also provide information on additional campus resources. She spends time collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data on the effectiveness of strategic advising campaigns that will allow the university to leverage the potential of advising systems to achieve its student success goals. Liz also teaches UCOL 1300 each academic year and is a member of the Advisor Institute Mentoring Committee.

Prior to coming to UNC Charlotte Liz taught first grade for ten years in both Stanly County and Charlotte Mecklenburg School systems. After teaching she worked as a coordinator and advisor at Stanly Community College.
