Teacher Education Advising and Licensure
Academic Advisor (P-Z)
COED 125

Lisa joined the TEAL office in 2017 as an Education Academic Advisor and the Education Learning Community Coordinator. Before coming to work at UNC Charlotte, she taught high school English for nine years.

She is a proud 49er, having earned both a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education from UNC Charlotte. As a graduate of the Cato College of Education, she received a foundation that enabled her to prepare the high school students in her classroom for their college journey. She is thrilled to now have the opportunity to advise college students preparing to embark on their teaching journey.

Lisa advises pre-education students on course offerings, steps required for admission into Teacher Education programs, and campus resources. Lisa teaches EDUC 1000, a seminar for Education Learning Community students, and coordinates educational, community service, professional development, and social events for these students.

Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering for the Carolina Panthers, reading great books, and choosing the music on long car trips.
