Kevin Bailey is an academic advisor for pre-education majors, and the College of Education’s liaison to the Charlotte Teacher Early College. He came to UNC Charlotte in September 2016, having previously worked as an academic advisor at Barton Community College in Kansas from 2014 to 2016. During that time, he helped design the advisor training program for BCC, and also worked extensively advising BCC’s student-athletes. As part of his duties at UNCC, Kevin also teaches EDUC 1000, an education seminar course he designed for Charlotte Teacher Early College students.
Before becoming an academic advisor, Kevin taught various grade levels from fifth through ninth grade, and coached various sports. Both Kevin’s Bachelors and Masters degrees are from Kansas State University, and he still has a soft spot for K-State sports teams.
